Standing atop Goshen Pass , looking down at the river below; a gentle breeze caressing me , all I could think was how very peaceful I felt. Thankful to be alive, Thankful for my family, my history, and the calling God has placed upon my life.

“Casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for You.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Under the fast paced hectic schedules and deadlines we all face, if we lose sight of Gods unceasing care and love for us, we will also lose our peace. I think thats one thing that is wrong in America today. We just dont take time to make time to commune with God in an unhurried and relaxed manner. 10 minutes in the morning before we rush into our day is hardly quality time and certainly will never produce anointing.

Peter was writing to a church that could very easily have given in to the intense pressures of their day and found themselves in discontentment in their lives. As he closes his first letter to them he simply reminds them to take their burdens and problems to the Lord because He cares for them.  My dear readers, this verse in 1 Peter totally releases us from all pressure.. We can pray and we can trust God to bring about His will in our lives. Why? Because He cares about us.. God cares about everything that troubles and upsets me. He cares about even the slightest of disturbances and has a plan for each one in my walk with Him. God invites me to cast every single care upon Him.. Let Him carry those burdens while we respond to the leadings of His Holy Spirit and learn from His wisdom. That is what our ancestors did. I believe they knew the secret of trusting God!

The storms and trials of life will come to us all but God is very concerned about us and so when the pressure begins to mount and it seem we will be overwhelmed, we can cast those cares on Him and He has promised to bear them for us. God is more than able to bring about His solutions, in His timing and according to His will.. If we will truly trust Him in life then we will experience a supernatural result : PEACE….

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
